Flight School for Girls

Flight School for Girls immerses middle school girls in the science and technology of aviation. This hands-on, interactive program features 3 days of exploration and discovery, culminating in opportunity to "fly" aircraft and RC simulators. Participants meet local women who have successful aviation-related careers, and have the opportunity to get "up close and personal" with various aircraft housed in our museum's historic hangars. Although this program just debuted in Summer 2012, parents are telling us that their girls have an increased interest in science and technology as a result of their experience in Flight School.
