Collaboration Interests (Close Window)
These are types of collaboration your Program might be interested in undertaking when collaborating with another Program or Programs.
Collaborating Programs (Close Window)
The Mini-Grant Applicant selects, by Program name, one to four Programs (in the NGCP public Program Directory) as Collaborating Programs. Mini-Grant Applicants should know Collaborating Programs’ name(s) in the NGCP Program Directory and have discussed the Project thoroughly with each of them.

E-Mail Notes (Close Window)
Use the e-mail notes field to communicate any special notes of interest to your participants within the registration e-mail. For example, special parking instructions, an Agenda, or other critical details for your attendees.

Event Contact Info (Close Window)
The information entered in Event Contact Name, phone and e-mail fields will be sent in a confirmation e-mail to event registrants. This should be the person best able to answer registrant questions about the event.
Event Date (Close Window)
If your event occurs on a single day, enter that date here. If you have a multi-day event, please enter a unique event entry for each day.
Example Event Names:
• CalGirls Collaborative Project Annual Conference DAY ONE 10 AM - 5 PM

Event Files (Close Window)
Use this "Upload" button to add related files for your event like flyers, parking maps, or agendas. These items will them be available to registrants to print in advance of the event.
Event Password (Close Window)
This purpose of this event password is to allow you to provide administrative access to another member of the leadership team who may assist you with conference planning and preparation. Whatever password you select is one you may then pass on to any member of the leadership team in order to give them access to download registrant data or e-mail registered participants.
Event Type (Close Window)
Calendar - Select this option if you would like to enter another STEM-related event in your area that IS NOT one of the Girls Collaborative Project events you are sponsoring in your area.
Examples:
• An EYH Conference at University of Wisconsin
• A STEM-focused Girl Scout Summer Camp
Webcast - Select this option if you are entering details about a NGCP monthly webcast. This information will automatically appear in the NGCP Calendar of events once the event information entered has been approved by NGCP team.
Conference - Select this option if you are entering information for a NGCP Kick-off or Annual Conference ONLY. This information will automatically appear in the NGCP Calendar of events once the event information entered has been approved by NGCP team.
Forum - Select this option if you are entering information about a NGCP Forum focused on research-based strategies in informal learning or evaluation and assessment. This information will automatically appear in the NGCP Calendar of events once the event information entered has been approved by NGCP team.

Lead Program (Close Window)
To apply for a Mini-Grant, there must be a single Lead Program, registered in the Program Directory by the person applying for the Mini-Grant (Mini-Grant Applicant). The Lead Program's location determines who reviews the Mini-Grant Application. The Lead Program must be publicly viewable in the Program Directory. Mini-Grant Applicants need to know the name of the Lead Program.

Organization Name (Close Window)
“Organization” refers to an entity that has at least one girl-serving program operating within it. (It is possible that a Program and Organization have the same name.) The Program has services / activities to offer, and/or services / activities it would like to find.
Here are examples of programs and their organizations:

Organization: Girl Scouts of Western Massachusetts
Program: Tech Trek Camp
Organization: American Association of University Women (AAUW) California
Program: Robotics with Girl Appeal
Organization: Cumberland Middle School (Cumberland, WI)
If you want to enter your organization, but do not have a specific program to enter, please list your organization as both the “Program” and “Organization.”
Organization Contact Info (Close Window)
The “Organization Contact Info” will be listed in the public Program Directory entry for the Program. Persons interested in finding out more about the Organization will use the information to establish contact.

The “Program Contact Info” will be listed in the public Program Directory entry for the Program. Persons interested in finding out more about the Program, or in collaborating with the Program, will use the information to establish contact with the Program.

Project Evaluation (Close Window)
The “Project Evaluation” section will capture the types of assessment activities involved in the Mini-Grant Project. It will also ask whether a Mini-Grant Project engage one group of participants for a week or longer. The answer to this will help determine the type of evaluation efforts required for the Mini-Grant Project.
Project Budget / Budget Item(s) (Close Window)
The maximum Mini-Grant award is $1,000. In “Project Budget” you may request up to $1,000 as well as matching funds. The total of the itemized “Budget Item(s)” must equal the “Amount Requested” plus the “Amount of Matching Funds.”
As with most grant programs, the NGCP Mini-Grants must meet criteria for acceptable use. Generally, NGCP Mini-grant funds will be allowable for the following:
• Food (refreshments for meetings, lunches for participants, etc.)
• Transportation costs (buses)
• Educational software
• Hardware related to educational activities (robotics kits, etc.)
• Essential project/activity supplies
Uses of Mini-Grant funds that are not allowable under these guidelines include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Alcoholic beverages
• Indirect charges
• Capital expenditures
• Computer hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, etc.)
Project Contact Info (Close Window)
The “Project Contact Info” comprises the name, e-mail address, and phone number for one person who will serve as the Mini-Grant Project contact if questions arise during the review process.
Project Description (Close Window)
The description of a Mini-Grant Project, including information about the role and contributions of collaborating partners, project design, population to be served, and activities or methods used that demonstrate integration of Research Based Strategies. The “Project Description” will appear in public listings of funded Mini-Grant Projects. This brief, 2-3 sentence description should relay the main idea of the mini-grant project.
Project Design Plans (Close Window)
Identify the design of the project. How will participants be recruited? Where will the project be held? Explain how your project design helps you meet the goals of your project.
Project Goals (Close Window)
The “Project Goals” statement is a concise (2-4 sentence) presentation of the broad outcomes / goals the Mini-Grant Project, if successful, will achieve.
Project Objectives (Close Window)
The “Project Objectives” are one to four carefully-structured, measurable objectives that target a specific audience (the online application will assist applicants in writing these objectives).
Project Title (Close Window)
The informative “Project Title” identifies the Project that will be carried out with Mini-Grant funds if the Mini-Grant Application is approved and funded. The “Project Title” will appear in public listings of funded Mini-Grant Projects.

Research Based Strategies (Close Window)
Research-based strategies refer to strategies, practices, curricula and resources that have research and/or evaluation data to support their effectiveness. NGCP disseminates research-based strategies in two areas: informal learning and evaluation and assessment.
Resources/Activities available through your program (Close Window)
“Resources/Activities available through your program” are those that you would offer when collaborating with other Programs in the Directory. In the public Program Directory, searching on a specific “Resources/Activities available through your program” returns results for Programs that have selected the specific Resources/Activities.
Example:
You select “Mentoring.” When searching the Program Directory, a search for Programs that offer “Mentoring” includes your Program in the results.
Resources/Activities needed by your program (Close Window)
“Resources/Activities needed by your program” are those that you would hope to find through collaborating with other Programs in the Directory. In the public Program Directory, searching on a specific “Resources/Activities needed by your program” returns results for Programs that have selected the specific Resources/Activities.
Example:
You select “Computer access.” When searching the Program Directory, a search for Programs that need “Computer access” includes your Program in the results.
Role and Contributions (Close Window)
How will each of the collaborating organizations participate in this grant? List each collaborating organization and indicate the contribution of each, e.g., facilities, participants, equipment, publicity, etc.

Time Zone (Close Window)
Collaborative events may serve participants in different time zones. To help your attendees identify the correct times for your event, please select the time zone based on the LOCATION of the event.

Web Only / All-States Resource (Close Window)
Programs that provide resources via the Web and/or to Programs in any state check a box indicating “Web-only / all states resource” when entering Program information. Then, when someone is searching for Programs, they are able to check a box to “Include Web-only / all-states resources” in their search results.
Note: Large, national organizations with field or affiliate offices should not assume that checking this box replaces registering field / affiliate offices. If a field / affiliate has a Program that offers (and needs) resources, it should be entered on its own.
