Girl Scouts of West Central Florida is the lead agency for
the Florida Girls Collaborative Project. GSWCF serves 8
counties, 30,000 girls and 10,000 adults. Girl Scouts introduces
girls of every age to science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM)
with activities that are relevant to everyday life. Whether they're
discovering how a car's engine runs, becoming math whizzes, or learning
about careers in STEM fields, girls are moving forward into the
future.

Apply
Now- Mini Grant Applications Close June 20 | |
Last week you should have received an e-mail letting
you know mini-grant applications are now open. I've received a few
questions and wanted to follow up to help you with the process.
How do I access a mini-grant application?
If you have a program already registered in the
Program Directory, you can begin a Mini-Grant Application immediately at
the link above.
If you do not have a program registered, you must
first Register a Program so that it may be selected as
your lead program.
Please be aware, new programs registered
are the program directory are first vetted by NGCP staff and may take
up to 48 hours to appear in the directory. They must be in the
directory before an application can be started.
If you are
in the process of waiting for your program directory listing to appear,
you can still see the questions asked to formulate your answers by
viewing a sample application.
Funds are generally used within a year of funding
date, but there is flexibility available in the funding period.
Deadline to apply is midnight June 20, 2010.

Explore the
Ocean and its surroundings from a different perspective! Girls Get
IT will offer a 4-day, 3-night camp which will introduce young women,
ages 14-18, to the world of surfing & science. In addition to
surf lessons taught by a local surf professional, participants will
explore other topics such as Astrology, BioChemistry, &
