| On June 16th, the day following the Annual Conference, Ms. Jo Sanders, gender equity expert, will be our featured speaker for a workshop for Kentucky teachers to address the latest research on gender-biased classroom interactions.
Running parallel to Ms. Sanders’ workshop will be a tour of engineering industries and other related facilities for middle and high school girls: “KY GIRLS DAY OUT”. Girls will tour up to four industrial and agricultural engineering facilities in Fayette and Woodford Counties and return to UK late in the afternoon. The purpose of the trip is to familiarize the girls with the professional skills and preparation needed to enter the STEM workforce.
