On April 5, 2010, the Connecticut Girls Collaborative Project held their Spring Forum at the brand new Connecticut Science Center to expand its STEM initiative to schools, organizations, businesses, and institutions across the state. Both formal and informal educators, as well as participants from the private sector, learned about mini-grants, resources and learning strategies for middle school girls, Family Engineering Days, and how to creatively connect girls to technology. Participants were able to explore the Connecticut Science Center at the close of the forum.

Mini-grants will be awarded to groups who collaborate with other organizations or businesses to offer STEM programs for girls. Applications are currently being accepted; the application process closes June 4, 2010.
